It was purchased via eBay about 6 months ago. Weird purchase. It wasn't as described. It has few faults: On the rear surface of the laptop face (the plastic cover) there is paint spillage residue. There is one burn mark, about 1cm square, which is purely cosmetic and doesn't interfere with the functionality of the laptop - much, it reveals a slight imperfection on the main screen which exaggerates the colour of the desktop background; it isn't unpleasant to view. The burn mark isn't on the screen itself, it is on the rear plastic cover, which impacts slightly on the screen. Two small dents on the exterior (if cosmetic appearance is a priority to you, a laptop case will cover it). The laptop is saved to an online account. I have never been able to log in because i don't know the password. The previous owner sold it me with his word that the computer IS NOT locked which was a lie. The laptop will need a fresh install of Windows 8 to bypass the security default. Near the keyboard the laptop has a very small sticker on it that reads "scullcandy". It is about 5mm x 1.5cm in length. I think the previous owner must have stuck it on! If the manufacturer designed his computers this way he'd have to be a bit nutty unless there is a processor or some fashionable computer part out now named after 'candy'. It can be easily removed without leaving residue behind, i have tested it. It's upsetting to lose but i look forward to buying a NEW computer suitable to MY needs. It will cost around $50 - $100 to have a technician freshly install Microsoft. Or you can buy yourself a fresh install disk online for $10, insert it, wait for it to load, and wallah, you're in! The only reason why i'm selling is because i can't buy install disks online like some others. Mum won't let me. I will accept refunds if you are not ENTIRELY happy. The computer is only around a year old. I've had it only 6 months during which time it hasn't been used. A laptop case/cover will definitely hide all the cosmetic imperfections. Except for the slight exaggeration to the screen that's a small 1cm square area which doesn't impact on the functionality of the computer although the display resolution is slightly lighter in the area. The laptop appears in shocking condition i won't lie - it's no big deal though as it is mainly just the paint on the rear surface that makes it look a bit dark. I don't know how anyone managed to spill paint on it... But i do know that it is safe to use! The paint is just a minor residue that left a large stain. I will keep the price AS IS for now and investigate more online later and update my asking price if i'm out of line asking too much. Currently, they're selling for $800 USED in UK so i think $250 is over reasonably fair. eBay and PayPal takes 15% so if i can't sell it for this price i'm always happy to discount on private sale.
